Cartooning Faces

Graphic Novel or Commix – why and how is it well-suited to represent trauma? What artistic choices did he make? What forms does he use? What does the form of commix make available for an artist? What is unique about the graphic novel from when it comes to a representation of trauma?

How is graphic novel not only an appropriate medium for dealing with Auschwitz but also allows for exploration of the subject in a way that words or images alone do not? How might it differ from a more conventional Holocaust narrative?
