extremely loud and incredibly close
Throughout reading the novel I have become very aware of how the reader is supposed to think of oskar and all of the other characters involved in his father's death. You get this overwhelming sense of wanting to care for him. To be there for him because he is now left with this empty void in his life. I can't even imagine the emotional pain one goes through with losing a parent, especially at such a young age. Where you are just old enough to understand whats going on. His father's death leaves Oskar without a childhood. There are so many moments of where he is just uncomfortable. There has been a loss of comfort in the loss of a parent.
